Soooooo… a few blog posts ago I mused over the much talked about health and ‘intelligent ageing’ benefits of Liposomal Vitamin C. If you missed it, you can read about it here. As promised, and post my 30-day trial of Nutrivitality’s Liposomal Vitamin C, I’m back with my musings on this super-potent form of the antioxidant powerhouse vitamin.
Ok, so nothing short of surgery can invite my jowls back up the side of my face to meet their old acquaintance, my cheekbones but… I am utterly convinced that my skin felt and looked more plump, less tired and dare I say it, ever so slightly radiant (this was from a friend who was unaware that I was taking this supplement and to whom I paid no money 😉 )
In terms of the vitality bit; if you’ve been following the blog for a while now, you’ll know that most nights, I struggle to get a full nights sleep, which leaves me permanently fatigued and often, very low on energy. I can attest to the fact that this supplement also provided me with improved energy levels during the day and more restorative sleep at night, which will in part, be due to the fact that vitamin C actually lowers cortisol levels; the hormone responsible, amongst other things, for regulating stress levels. I’ll buy that for a dollar! 😉
And now for something different…
In between my trial box and this blog spot, Nutrivitality have developed an enhanced version of the liposomal Vitamin C and it has now been rebranded as ‘Immune Support‘, with the added benefits of:
- Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) – involved in the function of 100 enzymes which include red blood cell formation and function, the formation of niacin, hormone function, nucleic acid synthesis and the immune system, as well as helping in forming protects and in protein and fat metabolism.
- Selenium – a powerful antioxidant present in trace amounts in the body. Selenium is important in the body for making selenoproteins – important antioxidant enzymes that are essential for proper immune system function and prevent cellular damage caused by free radical molecules.
- Zinc – an essential mineral for your health which is critical for tissue growth and repair, wound healing, immune system function, bone health, thyroid function, and cognitive function as well as several other important functions. Zinc is required for the metabolic activity of 300 of the body’s enzymes.
