1 small avocado

1 small mango

1 quince

1 tbs spirulina

1 tbs chia seeds

1 cup coconut water

dash of guarana

mint to garnish

Sweet quince, primarily a middle Eastern fruit, can be found in Turkish supermarkets but, there are also German quince which have a fluffy outer skin and should not be eaten raw apparently! If you’ve got the middle Eastern variety, it will have a smooth skin and can be eaten raw but do not blend the stone as they release cyanide in the same way that apple pips do. Quince has traditionally been used to create marmalades and jams, but will provide a sweet and creamy flave in your posh smoothie.

Quince is a great source of vitamin C, zinc, potassium, copper, iron, and dietary fibre. Quince is rich in certain organic compounds such as catechin, epicatechin, limonene, and various other phytonutrients, all of which have health benefits; from binding themselves to cancer-causing toxins in the colon, to anti-allergenic and anti-inflammatory properties.

Quincy Jones is a great record producer and, Quincy ME was an American medical mystery-drama TV series from Universal Studios that aired from 1976 to 1983.
