Look at this beeyoutee!
If last week’s roaring Green Grover slurpy was a little too wild for your tastebuds, why not try this week’s delight from Smooth Mama, where she’s gone for something a little more spiritual and created the gorgeous Mango Mandala 🙂

Lovingly made with *macquiberry powder *blueberry *mango *maca powder *goji berries*beepollen and *hemp protein this sublime concoction will have your heart singing all day! *yumyumyum *namaste

Visually stunning and incredibly healthy, these simple smoothies can be made so easily in any juicer such as the Omniblend or the Nutribullet. And, whilst there has been much debate on the best way to juice your fruit and veg – should you buy a masticating or a centrifugal juicer, and once you’ve decided, how much money should you spend etc? – what you buy will really depend on your individual needs. Consumer magazine Which? have a very good video that discusses the pros and cons of various juicers and blenders http://www.which.co.uk/home-and-garden/small-appliances/guides/how-to-buy-the-best-juicer/ and will help you make an informed decision about which one to purchase.

Once you’ve made a choice most of the fruit and veg can be purchased from your local supermarket or farmers market, but remember to try and go organic wherever possible. For the more unusual ingredients, your local health food store should be able to assist and if not, some online retailers include http://www.greensorganic.co.uk/ or http://www.rawliving.eu/ for European purchases and try http://forestsuperfoods.com.au/ for Australian purchases.

It’s also worth noting that there’s been much said by the experts about how you should apportion your fruit and veg within your juice, and the general consensus is that only 1/3 should be fruit, with the rest being a mix of both vegetable and protein. That way you’re not OD-ing on the dreaded sugar, but loading up on other nutrients and proteins that will have hunger locked up for longer. Looks like the Mango Mandala may need to be one of those ‘treat’ smoothies then!

Happy juicing 🙂
