Mr Zodle reviews a new men’s skincare range

In my recent review of the Bel Âge Anti-Ageing Health and Beauty Show London, you may recall me mention that my reluctant escort for the day was none other than Mr Zodle; his boredom being only marginally alleviated when he happened across the only men’s skincare exhibitor at the show – Monroe of London. The founders and very kind gents at Monroe, Luke and Gareth, could clearly see Mr Zodle’s pained expression and most generously gifted him one of their beautifully packaged ‘travel kits’, which they describe as “the ultimate travel companion…”. It contains 30ml each of – Cleanse & Shave Solution, Moisturiser &...

Resveratrol skincare offer now on at M&S!

Roll up, roll up! I’ve reviewed the Super Grape Day Cream from Marks & Spencer’s Pure range previously on the blog and I think it’s a great little High Street find. After years of collaborative research with scientists from a leading British university, M&S discovered that via a unique extraction process they could extract resveratrol from crushed pulp left over from the production of their own M&S wine. Resveratrol is a polyphenol (micronutrient) antioxidant and is found in grapes, red wine, peanuts, pistachios, blueberries, cranberries, and cacao. When converted for topical application, it protects against sun damage, improves collagen synthesis,...

Is that a facelift in your show-bag or are you just pleased to see me?

So this weekend I checked out some of the latest anti-ageing treatments at the Bel Âge Anti-Ageing Health and Beauty Show at Olympia, London and, whilst I happened across a few ‘too-far’ faces, I also came away with some more knowledge on how best to care for ageing skin using a range of different techniques (not all of them surgical you’ll be pleased to hear). The show offers the very latest in cosmetic procedures, beauty treatments and skincare products with insider tips from some of the industry’s most innovative and well-regarded anti-ageing professionals. Whilst I still find the term...
